We've watched the Philadelphia Eagles for a long time. We've listened to a lot of what's been said about them. Very rarely have we seen someone who evokes emotions like Seth Joyner does.
He was one of NFL Network's earlier analysts. We saw the talent there, and after eight years of service, two Pro Bowl nods in green, and two Second-Team All-Pro nods, he has more than earned his right to voice his opinion.
If you know Seth, you also know however that sometimes that opinion gets him in trouble though.
So, here we are, awaiting another NFC Championship Game at Lincoln Financial Field. The Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Famer and 75th Anniversary Team member has something he wants to get off his chest.
Seth believes the Commanders haven't "a snowball's chance in hell" of coming to Philly and beating the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game.
Well, if we're going to be informative, we must also be truthful and accurate. The above statement is a misquote. He actually said "They don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of winning here on Sunday. You know that, right?"
Seth, as he often does, visited the 94 WIP-FM Morning Show on the Monday that followed a game. He didn't pull any punches, but who are we kidding? Did we actually expect he would?
As you can hear, Joyner also believes we needn't heap too much praise on Jayden Daniels. Though he makes good points, we go back and forth on what he is saying.
We formerly said it wasn't time to panic yet, that we could relax a little despite a growing hype train. If we're being frank, we still won't panic. but this guy is good. No, he is damn good.
We will agree with Seth that it's too early to anoint him as the NFL's fifth-best QB as Joe DeCamara states, but we feel pretty confident in saying he's no flash in the pan either. We'll also agree with Seth on something else.
We don't believe the Commanders are waltzing in and winning this game either.
