Eagles load up as NFL Draft's second night ends in typical Howie Roseman fashion

A look at the draft compensation the Eagles have accumulated for Day 3 of the current selection meeting (and where they stand in the 2026 NFL Draft).

Welp! Just when you thought Howie Roseman would be content with waiting on his turn in both the second and third rounds, he remembers he's... well... Howie Roseman. The Philadelphia Eagles stood pat in Round 2 and landed a game-changer, former Texas safety Andrew Mukuba.

Later, we waited patiently for the 96th selection. They wouldn't select anyone. They elected instead to deal their original third-round pick to the Atlanta Falcons. Philly moved back five spots to 101 and secured some future compensation in the process.

They earn a 2026 fifth-rounder. All that was needed was for them to make that selection at 101.

And, then, they traded back again...

Eagles elect against making a third-round selection and add more draft picks for later use.

Two trades end the Philadelphia Eagles' night. They elected against making a third-round selection, but they're stocked now, not only for this draft but also for the 2026 selection meeting. Here's a look at where they are now.

The 101st-overall selection was dealt by Philly to the Denver Broncos, along with pick 134. They receive picks 111 (4th), 130 (4th), and 191 (6th). Add that to three fifth rounders: picks 161, 165, and 168. The final day of the draft will be a busy one for our Eagles.

So, if our math is correct, in 2026, the Eagles still possess their picks in Rounds 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7. They also own two additional third-rounders, one from the New York Jets and a comp pick we expect to receive from the Milton Williams departure.

It is also believed Philly will land comp picks in Round 4 (Josh Sweat) and Round 5 (Mekhi Becton). Their remaining picks in 2026 are a pair of fifth-rounders earned in the aforementioned trade with the Denver Broncos and their recent trade for C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
