When we were much younger and new to our journalistic journey, we used to ask ourselves questions like the following. What are we going to talk about now that the Philadelphia Eagles' season is over? Now, we ask questions of a different sort.
What in the heck were we thinking when we said that?
Back in those days, we were some young whippersnappers looking to get our feet wet while writing about this great game we love. We learned we were more in danger of 'not having enough hours in the day' than we'd ever be of running out of conversational material.
This week reinforces that. It's NFL Draft Week. Philly's players simultaneously report to the NovaCare Complex to begin Phase 1 of their offseason program. Meanwhile, a roller-coaster offseason for one Eagles star continues.
Eagles news: A.J. Brown is the victim of car theft.
This is unfortunate. A.J. Brown apparently had his vehicle stolen early on Monday morning. He addressed the thief via social media.
Good news came about an hour or so after his post. Sources state his vehicle was recovered
A.J.'s offseason has probably been more eventful than he'd like. He's been the subject of trade rumors, among other things, but in terms of his stolen property, it's good to hear this was cleaned up sooner rather than later.
More Eagles news: Philly meets with another draft option virtually and attends a highly-touted prospect's workout.
Let's end this on a high note. Nothing makes us smile like discussing prospects and the coming NFL Draft. Though they placed a bow on their Top 30 visits, the Eagles continue to do their due diligence with the selection meeting approaching.
Raheim 'Rocket' Sanders reportedly had a virtual meeting with Philly. He notched 881 yards rushing and another 316 yards receiving on 210 touches last season. He also reached the end zone 13 times.
Reports also suggest the Birds attended Will Johnsonโs private pro day recently. As stated earlier, there is no shortage of topics to discuss as we near night one of the 2025 NFL Draft on this coming Thursday.
