As we trade busy days for silence, the expectations haven't changed with our Philadelphia Eagles. There hasn't been much reported from the NovaCare Complex, but we don't doubt they are involved in some around-the-clock grind time.
The 2025 NFL Draft approaches. We've learned of some important calendar dates, but we're just like you. Every time our phone alerts us to a notification, we're picking it up to see if they have reported something notable.
Dallas Goedert isn't gone yet. That's kind of been the story we've been watching. We'll let you know what is said as soon as we hear something.
Who are we kidding though? If news does break, we expect it will spread like wildfire.
In the meantime, someone we rarely have to wait on for an update, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, dropped a cryptic post on his Instagram story. As usual, no one except CJGJ knows what he is talking about.
Eagles news: C.J. Gardner-Johnson airs a grievance on Instagram (sort of).
Say what you will about CJGJ. You can never accuse him of being unafraid of sharing his truth, even if that truth remains shrouded in mystery.
He recently went live for seven seconds on his Instagram story. What follows is the result of that decision.

There's never a dull moment with this guy. Shortly after being traded from Philly to the Houston Texans, he went live while playing Madden and tried to execute the same trade in the game in an attempt to show how unbelievable and unjustified such a move was.
He'd later state he thought the Eagles' decision to move him was an April Fool's Day joke. Something tells us this story isn't going away (even if we'd like it to).
More Eagles news: Jalen Carter receives a very honorable mention
We MUST end this on a high note. We refuse to do anything else. How about some good news for Jalen Carter?
NFL.com's Bucky Brooks recently released his Top 10 NFL defenders to build around in 2025. Carter lands at ten, though we think he should be rated higher. Here's Brooks' reasoning behind making that decision.
"Jalen Carter is the total package as a dominant defensive tackle with an aggressive game. The third-year pro's exceptional first-step quickness and heavy hands put blockers in a bind when they are isolated against the Pro Bowler in crucial moments.
Presuming Eagles coordinator Vic Fangio continues exploring ways to unleash the 6-3, 314-pounder as a disruptive playmaker at the point of attack, the football world could quickly begin to view the former first-round draft pick as the premier interior defender in the league -- and the perfect candidate to lead a unit up front."
If you're interested, the top nine ranked ahead of him are Micah Parsons (Dallas), Myles Garrett (Cleveland), Patrick Surtain II (Broncos), T.J. Watt (Pittsburgh), Nick Bosa (San Francisco), Sauce Gardner (NY Jets), Maxx Crosby (Las Vegas), Roquan Smith (Baltimore), and Dexter Lawrence (NY Giants).
Maybe we're biased. Maybe others agree, but we stand by our previous statement. All of these guys are worthy of mention, but Carter is ranked too low.
Who are you building a team around, Jalen Carter or MIcah Parsons?
