This week is flying by wouldn't you agree? That's perfectly fine with us. That means the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers kickoff will be here before you know it. One should never count wins before they are final, but we feel relatively confident about the Birds' chances. To pass the time, we've jostled back and forth between Philly and the Cheeseheads' airwaves.
As you'd imagine, most of the discussions on both sides are about the most important position in sports. Injury concerns about both starting QBs has added to the intrigue.
Eagles news: Jordan Love is doing a horrible job of playing possum.
Make no mistake about it. The consensus is the Eagles are a better team than the Packers are, but Green Bay is a worthy opponent. They finished third in the NFC North, but come on. They won 11 games. The Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings only combined for five losses.
Maybe The Pack is considering some 'Art of War' tactic, making the enemy believe they are weak when, in fact, they are very strong. How else might we describe their attempts to throw us off of the Jordan Love injury trail?
"I'm hopeful"? Seriously? Raise your hand if you believe Jordan Love won't be in the starting lineup for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
Yep! That's what we thought... Oh, and by the way... He was a full participant in practice this past Thursday.
Nice try dude, but we totally see what you are doing here.
More Eagles news: Jalen Carter joins Saquon Barkley as members of the NFL Players Association's All-Pro Team.
NFL All-Pro Teams are being announced. We were looking for Zack Baun's inclusion. He got the nod! So did Saquon Barkley. They made the First Team. A.J. Brown, Jordan Mailata, Lane Johnson, and Jalen Carter were all deserving additions to the second team.
Saquon and Jalen Carter were also mentioned on another All-Pro roster as well.
No one has doubted whether both have earned the respect of their peers. That has been further evidenced. They found their way onto the NFL Player Association's All-Pro team.
This all-star team is a little different as it was comprised by the votes of players. Fans opinions count. So do those of the coaches and media, but ask any NFL star. There's nothing like being given the seal of approval by the guys you battle with and against.
Congratulations to Saquon and Jalen Carter. You guys keep bringing that heat on through the postseason. We'll be pulling for you!
