Eagles news: Jalen Hurts hits Time Square, everything Sirianni said recently
There's humility and there's what I sometimes refer to as 'false humility'. Most say their focus is on football and football only. Here's the difference. Some couldn't stand the media's spotlight during their playing days. See James Harrison and Marshawn Lynch. Others love the spotlight and brand building. See Deion Sanders and Russell Wilson. Then, there are the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni don't put anything above winning. We truly believe that, but both have learned how to balance the scales and play the game.
Nick is required to meet with the media a few times weekly. Jalen will speak with them as well, but playing in a huge media market like Philly means the head coach and starting QB are never short of a few national requests.
Here's what they have been up to.
Eagles news: Jalen Hurts guests on Good Morning America
Chances are, unless you were born prior to 1975, no one had to introduce you to Good Morning America. It's one of our great nation's longest-running shows.
These days, a New York Giants legend is one of the hosts, so we don't tune in much. We made an exception on Tuesday though. Jalen Hurts found his way to Time Square.
Great job QB1! That was a fun watch.
Oh, and by the way, now that we're thinking about it, we wonder if that air conditioner incentive factors in to the Eagles coaching staff giving him the ball on the goal line so often (Jalen donates ACs to Philly schools for every TD scored). We wouldn't be mad if that's the thinking.
More Eagles news: Nick Sirianni's recent media tour
Philly's head coach has also been busy. He calls in to 94 WIP-FM's Morning Show every week during the season. He typically meets with the media on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Adjustments are made when there's a short week or something, but that's typically the schedule. As usual, he's a huge discussion piece. These days, he's so mostly because his team is winning. That's a good thing. Recently he hung out with Pat McAfee on ESPN. Here are his two most recent pressers as well.
The first followed Philly's win over the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football.
Again... Good stuff. Well done Coach. We'll drop his interview on 94 WIP once that is made available.
