To some, Christmas is a time of giving and reflection. To others, it is a day of religious and spiritual significance. To others still, it's a time for rest. Hopefully, all of you enjoyed a day off (though they fly by quickly). The Philadelphia Eagles... Well... They went to work.

They released their first Week 18 injury report. They also informed us that we lost Bill Bergey. The latter half of that news is sad. He lived 79 long years though, so we found reasons to smile instead of mourning.

If you put a bow on your holiday and are looking to catch up on some Eagles news, don't worry. We certainly have you covered.

Eagles news: Philly works out Ian Book.

Jalen Hurts is in the NFL's concussion protocol as you know. No one knows if he'll be ready to play on Sunday vs. the Dallas Cowboys or not. Philly isn't taking any chances though.

They invited Ian Book on a free-agent visit. He's someone to consider as it wouldn't hurt to add a QB to the practice squad. You remember him, don't you?

On August 31, 2022, Philly claimed him off waivers but waived him on August 29th, 2023. We'll see what happens. He is, however, someone the organization is familiar with.

Update: Several hours after the announcement of this one, Philly announces Ian Book's signing to the practice squad. The also announced the reacquires RB Lew Nichols and added him to the practice squad. DB Tariq Castro-Fields has been released from the practice squad.

More Eagles news: Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts team up to play Santa Claus.

Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts might be the most feared backfield duo in the NFL. No disrespect is intended to Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, but our guys in Philly take a backseat to now one.

Both are known for their philanthropy. On Christmas, they took care of the offensive line that always makes them look so good. Olivia Reiner reports they split the bill on golf carts for each offensive line member.

You won't hear any complaints from us!

Even more Eagles news: DeVonta Smith announces he and his girlfriend are expecting.

We leave you with this. Our 'Slim Reaper' DeVonta Smith is expecting again. He and his girlfriend announced they are expecting another child.

What a beautiful family! We wish DeVonta and Mya continued success. We can't wait to see the baby pictures.
