Eagles rumored to be exploring a trade that would create 1st-round shockwaves

The Eagles have reportedly spoken to the Miami Dolphins about their star cornerback.

As the NFL Draft neared and the Philadelphia Eagles grew silent, we couldn't help but snoop around and be nosey (as we are sure you did also). It's typically those quiet weeks when they upset apple carts with trades or signings we didn't see coming.

Then, it happened. They extended Cam Jurgens. Exciting... Yeah, that was exciting, but it wasn't really surprising. We figured that was coming. More news... Philly declined Jahan Dotson's fifth-year option. Yawn...

Night one of the NFL Draft arrived. Everyone awaited news that Philly would trade up in Round 1. Then, it happened. Philly's interested in a trade for a former three-time First-Team All-Pro. Now, we're talking, and we really like the name we heard.

Jalen Ramsey is rumored to be a potential Eagles trade target.

Darius Slay is gone thanks to free agency. So is Isaiah Rodgers. With that, Philly lost two of the top guys on the depth chart they had at outside corner last season. They certainly need to look for satisfcatory replacement options if they don't feel they're set with Kelee Ringo and/or Adoree' Jackson.

No disrespect is intended to Slay, but might we mention a potential upgrade? Rumor has it that Philly is exploring the possibility of trading for Jalen Ramsey. Thank Armando Salguero for the update.

Ramsey has reportedly grown tired of his arrangement down in Miami with the Dolphins. Per Salguero's write-up, Ramsey wants to play "for a winner".

Keep those eyes peeled. Nothing is set in stone yet, but it's night one of the NFL Draft. We've seen Howie Roseman make magic here year in and year out. Might he have a few tricks up his sleeve?

We have often seen him add stellar defensive back talent later in the roster-building process. This one could require Philly to part ways with a few draft choices, but if Ramsey is added to Philly's nest, no one will care much, unless, of course, the Birds lose a first-rounder. That may cause a few issues within the media and fan base.
