What do you think Isaiah Rodgers is thinking? On June 28, 2023, he and several other players were suspended for the entire 2023 NFL season for violating the league's policy on gambling. Shortly afterward, the Indianapolis Colts waived him and former teammate Rashod Berry. The Philadelphia Eagles signed him on August 28 of that same year knowing full well he wouldn't be able to contribute immediately.
Take that, everybody!
On April 24, 2024, Rodgers was reinstated by the National Football League. Now, he's a Super Bowl champion and everything we know about his competitive nature suggests he'd offer some sort of response.
We didn't have to wait long for one.

Sometimes, we don't get it. The NFL runs commercials about gambling and then suspends its players for gambling. Sounds kind of hypocritical, doesn't it?
Sure, there's more to the story. We can see why it would be harmful for players to bet on games they are performing in, so let's do this. Let's table that topic for another day.
We can't ignore the Rodgers angle though. Talk about going from the outhouse to the penthouse. Philly loves an underdog story, but it loves comeback and redemption stories just as much.
Rodgers' story can be classified in each of those areas. He's a legend now. He'll always be a Super Bowl Champion.

Yeah... He deserves that. After a rough couple of years, he deserves to thump himself on the chest some. Playing in a city that erected a statue to a fictional boxer ought to say everything.
