The Philadelphia Eagles are hoping to supplement some depth at the wide receiver position. Philly has re-signed Terrace Marshall Jr. to their practice squad as the team moves into their Week 14 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Marshall returns to Philadelphia for his second go-around this season. The 2021 second-round pick signed with the team in April, two weeks before the 2025 NFL Draft, spending training camp with the team, and then on their practice squad until his release on November 4.
Marshall had a strong preseason with the Eagles, appearing in two games, recording seven receptions for 66 yards, and impressing the coaching staff enough despite a crowded receiver room.
Eagles bringing back experienced receiver in Marshall
Still only 25 years old, Marshall is already on his fourth NFL team in five seasons since coming out of LSU in 2021. Marshall brings plenty of experience, appearing in 43 games (17 starts), recording 68 receptions for 808 receiving yards, and one touchdown, with his most extensive action coming in 2022 with the Carolina Panthers.
Marshall's experience and youth give the Eagles a wide receiver with significant upside, with limited risk. At a practice squad salary (with an elevation of about $50,000), Marshall can step in to provide special teams depth and be a serviceable option in the offense if called up with his 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame.
Marshall replaces Britain Covey, who was recently signed to the Eagles' 53-man roster. Covey made his 2025 debut in the Eagles' Week 13 loss to the Chicago Bears, returning one punt for nine yards and one kick for 22 yards while also recovering his own fumble.

With several weeks left in the season, Marshall has some time to prove that he can be a long-term answer for the Eagles if called upon. With elite speed (4.38 40-yard dash), and prototypical size the Eagles may have a gem stored on their practice squad if called upon in a pinch.
