Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman is the most aggressive GM in the NFL and always has been.
Roseman made headlines at the trade deadline this year with trades for Jaire Alexander, Michael Carter II, and Jaelan Phillips. While Alexander has stepped away from the team, Phillips has proven to be a home run at EDGE with a stellar first two games.
Bleacher Report writer Alex Kay has one trade he would like the Eagles to make in the offseason. After rumors of Roseman trying to get Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, Kay thinks Roseman should try again to acquire Garrett.
"If the Eagles continue to struggle and crash out of the playoffs early, Garrett would be the perfect addition to help this squad return to prominence in 2026.
It would likely cost Philadelphia something in the neighborhood of the trio of firsts it was rumored to be interested in giving up, but the prospects acquired from those late-in-the-round choices would have a tough time collectively making anywhere close to the impact Garrett would on the organization."
Should the Eagles make a bold move to get Garrett again?
Garrett has been a game-wrecker from the moment he stepped on the field for the Browns back in 2017. In eight of his nine seasons in the NFL, he has had at least 10 sacks in a season. He's been selected to six Pro Bowls and four first-team All Pros while being named Defensive Player of the Year in 2023.
This season has been no exception as Garrett has put up some incredible performances. He's coming off a four-sack game in the loss to the Baltimore Ravens and had a five-sack game last month in the Browns' loss to the New England Patriots. Garrett has 39 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 21 quarterback hits, and an NFL-leading 15 sacks in just 10 games.
The common denominator is that Garrett is wasting his best performances in losses, where a four- or five-sack game on a contender would likely lead to a blowout win. Garrett ultimately chose to accept his $160 million contract extension from the Browns in the offseason, after initially requesting a trade, but the Eagles could give him a chance to win a Super Bowl.
Philly would have to pay a considerable price with future first-round picks gone and money not being there. They still have big decisions to make with Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Cooper DeJean, Quinyon Mitchell, and Reed Blankenship in the next year or two, and trading for Garrett would jeopardize any chance of most of them coming back.

Roseman will absolutely go for it, as this is who he is. However, if it happens, the end result must be a Super Bowl.
