The Philadelphia Eagles are desperate for a win as they are fighting for a top spot in the NFC, as they face the Chicago Bears in Week 13 action, but have a surprising inactive on their team.
Philly shared the Week 13 inactives for the upcoming Bears game:
- Joshua Uche, EDGE
- Sam Howell, Third QB
- Mac McWilliams, CB
- A.J. Dillon, RB
- Lane Johnson, RT
- Xavier Gipson, WR
- Ty Robinson, DT
Uche's place on the Eagles roster has been known
This is becoming an interesting situation for Uche and the Eagles. After getting heavy rotation at EDGE, Brandon Graham's arrival has pushed Uche off the rotation. Uche hasn't taken a defensive snap for Philly over the last two weeks.
The Eagles made an interesting move by moving up Patrick Johnson from the practice squad and signed him to the active roster. Johnson has been a stellar special teams player, so it could mean the Eagles are looking to boost their special teams with Johnson instead of Uche.
Another key inactive player for the Eagles is Gipson, who injured his shoulder after fumbling in the Week 12 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Britain Covey is set to replace Gipson as the primary returner for the team.
Once again, Dillon will not be active. At this point, Dillon is not long for the Eagles and will be inactive the rest of the season unless there is a serious injury at running back. Tank Bigsby has taken over the backup running back role for the Eagles.

The Eagles won't have some key inactives and will be playing without Andrew Mukuba after his fractured ankle. Still, Philly is in a must-win situation to keep themselves ahead of the Cowboys in the NFC East and get itself back on top of the NFC.
