The hours and day approach. The Philadelphia Eagles must compartmentalize after Week 13's victory. We're long past celebrating a win vs. the Baltimore Ravens. It's too early to look ahead to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Philly's next test wasn't seen as a major roadblock about a week ago. Lo and behold, the NFC South's Carolina Panthers have improved.

The goal this week is simple. Don't fall victims to the trap game.

Eagles vs. Panthers Week 14 injury report

Philadelphia released their injury report on Friday. We have good news and bad news. The bad news is the following players have been ruled out of the next game.

  • Reed Blankenship (concussion)
  • Sydney Brown (knee)
  • Dallas Goedert (knee)
  • Britain Covey (neck)

Blankenship and Brown's injuries mean we may see a lot of Avonte Maddox. Heaven help us all. Fingers are crossed that Tristin McCollum gets the nod.

But, we also promised good news.

The good news is Darius Slay has seemingly cleared the NFL's concussion protocol. He was a full participant at Friday's session. So was DeVonta Smith. The latter seems good to go after missing Week 13's game with a hamstring issue.

Saquon Barkley, Mekhi Becton, Jalen Carter, and Josh Sweat were all given rest days. As far as the Panthers go, here's what we know.

Carolina Panthers enter this game banged up as well.

The Panthers' Friday injury report listed seven players as 'questionable' for Sunday's game and one as 'doubtful'.

Jadeveon Clowney (knee, Jalen Coker (quadriceps), and Nick Scott (hamstring/personal) didn't participate in Carolina's Friday practice session. Coker is doubtful. Add Clowney and Scott's names to the list of Panthers who are questionable for Sunday's game along with the following:

  • CB Caleb Farley
  • ILB Josey Jewell
  • TE Ja'Tavion Sanders
  • LB D.J. Wonnum
  • OT Robert Hunt

Philly is a home favorite. Kickoff for this one is scheduled for 1 pm EST on Sunday.
