Week 2 of the NFL season has wrapped up and the Philadelphia Eagles are on the right side of things at 2-0, but how are some of the team's former players doing?
There were multiple players that were noteworthy that left the Eagles in the offseason for other teams, including Nakobe Dean, Reed Blankenship, Jaelan Phillips, and Jahan Dotson. They are all trying to make an impact on their new teams after two weeks of play.
The real question is how are each guy playing and how did they look in Week 2? Here's a quick update on some former players and their performances, while some interesting former Eagles swapping former Eagles for roster spots.

Reed Blankenship continues his struggles with Texans
It's been a tough start to the season for Blankenship, as he has struggled mightily in coverage for Houston. He has racked up 12 tackles and one quarterback hit, but his Pro Football Focus grade continues to drop. Blankenship has an overall grade of 38.9, ranking 78th out of 84 safeties. The hope is that he will eventually improve, but this is showing why Roseman passed on re-signing him in the offseason.
Nakobe Dean makes defining play to help Raiders start 2-0
Dean is heading in a completely different direction from Blankenship, shining in Las Vegas Raiders' defense. He forced a key fumble late in the fourth quarter to help the Raiders upset the Los Angeles Chargers. This season, he has 16 tackles, three quarterback hits, two tackles for loss, and two forced fumbles. He is earning every dollar of his contract that Las Vegas gave him; good for him!
Jahan Doston still trying to find his footing with Falcons
In Dotson's defense, the Falcons have had quarterback injuries all over the place that have thrown off the start of the season. He caught only three passes for 30 yards through two games. In their loss to the Carolina Panthers, Dotson caught only two passes for 11 yards. It appears he is dealing with the same issues that plagued him in Philly.
Jaelan Phillips putting up numbers in first two weeks
Credit for Phillips for starting the season strong, as he has a sack in each game with the Panthers. He is looking like the guy the Eagles saw last year, but is getting sacks at a more consistent basis. Phillips seems to be making some noise early on.
Lions injury news sees ex-Eagles Super Bowl champion replace another former Eagle
Shifting over to the Detroit Lions, former Eagles defensive back Avonte Maddox has found some success starting in the secondary in the Motor City. Unfortunately for Maddox, he suffered a foot injury and needed season-ending surgery. He finished with 10 tackles and two pass deflections.

Replacing Maddox appears to be former Eagles safety Jalen Mills. The Lions had Mills on the roster last season and now have him on the practice squad. He was a key starter in the secondary during the Eagles' first Super Bowl title run in 2017.
