Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has experienced it all in his professional career since college.

Hurts was benched at Alabama for Tua Tagovailoa in the national championship game, and then the next year came in to help the Crimson Tide win the SEC. He transferred to Oklahoma for his final year of college and was selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, despite many questions from the fan base about why.

The Eagles made the Super Bowl in 2022 but lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. The next year, the team suffered an epic collapse, losing six of their last seven games, including the NFC Wild Card game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Even last year, the team started the year 2-2, but turned it around and won a Super Bowl.

Not to mention the overwhelming amount of different play callers Hurts has had since his time at Alabama, there is only one that can best describe Hurts.

Will Blackmon has the right word to describe Hurts

During a segment on NFL Network's Good Morning Football, former NFL player Will Blackmon was asked to describe Hurts' mindset in one word. For Blackmon, it was grit.

"I think he is in a situation where he truly understands what it is to endure and to be patient and push through, and when you have a team like this full of alphas all over the place, he is the calm. He is the one person that they look to when everything is going crazy. If there was one quarterback that I would have from a mental perspective that I want out of anybody in the NFL, it's Jalen Hurts."

Despite everything Hurts has been through in his playing career in college and the pros, he has done one thing exceptionally well: win. He holds a 46-20 record in the regular season with a 6-3 record in the postseason, including two Super Bowl appearances and one Lombardi Trophy win.

Many in the media have been questioning whether Hurts is an elite quarterback or even a top 10 quarterback. Well, he's won a Super Bowl MVP, been named to two Pro Bowls, and was a second-team All-Pro in 2022.

People can say what they want about the man, but Hurts has done all the right things on and off the field. He causes no distractions and says all the right things to show his leadership capabilities.
