FOX Sports analyst apologizes to Jalen Hurts following Eagles win vs. Bengals
Brutal honesty here... It doesn't matter how many times we see Chase Daniel. It doesn't matter when we see him. We always seem to forget he played for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Did you see that? That feeling you just had (we know because we felt it too). Tell the truth. That slipped your mind as well.
Daniel was a backup in 2016, Carson Wentz's first in the City of Brotherly Love. He also played Philly four times during his career as a member of the Saints, Chiefs, Bears, and Chargers.
Well, he didn't actually play. He was on their rosters. You know what we mean. He took five special teams snaps in 2012. These days, he's an analyst for FOX Sports, one who's been a little critical of Jalen Hurts, but to his credit, he offered Philly's QB1 an apology recently.
Put a pin in that one. We'll be back in a second. We have to set this up with a quick commercial break.

The Philadelphia Eagles seemed to have steadied the ship.
If you've been watching football casually or just tuned in to see the Birds in Week 8, you probably aren't a die-hard Eagles fan, but if this describes you, here's what you missed.
Philly went to Brazil to play a football game and won. Yes, we mean Brazil... Things were up and down for a little while after that.
A collapse in Week 2 vs. the Atlanta Falcons preceded a rally in New Orleans vs. the Saints. An arse-kicking came in Week 4 vs. the Buccaneers.
Philly took a week off in Week 5, barely survived the Cleveland Browns in Week 6. Then, they morphed into the team we thought we'd see all season.
Blowout wins vs. the New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals seemed to have steadied the ship some. It also appears some of Jalen Hurts detractors are coming around.
That brings us back to the aforementioned Mr. Daniel.
Chase Daniel tips his cap to Jalen Hurts following a nice showing by the Eagles' signal-caller.
Following a journeyman career, Chase Daniel is now a FOX Sports analyst. Like most who have watched the Eagles play, he's had much to say about Jalen Hurts while he was struggling (and, most of it wasn't flattering).
On October 25th, he discussed Jalen Hurts' "inconsistency" on FS1's highly popular show, The Facility. Four days later, after Philly's QB1 delivered a masterful performance, he returned tp offer an apology.
Here's some video.
We'll agree with Seth here. It's good to see a man admit when he's wrong. Jalen plays the most difficult position to play in sports. There will be good days and bad days. We could stress ourselves out by dissecting every throw, or we can state the obvious.
Jalen Hurts is a good quarterback. He's still learning yet another offense. He's still learning how to play his position.
