When the Philadelphia Eagles executed a Week 2 trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars to acquire running back Tank Bigsby last season, the fan base could never have imagined that it would end up being a great deal for them.

While the Eagles got Bigsby, the Jaguars received a fifth and sixth-round pick from Philly in the 2026 NFL Draft. That event has concluded, so how did both sides do out of the deal?

Bigsby got 58 carries for 344 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games with the Eagles, with most of them coming in the second half of the season, proving to be a solid backup for Saquon Barkley. Jacksonville traded the 166th overall pick to move up in the draft and selected Stanford wide receiver CJ Williams with the 203rd overall pick.

Eagles are clear winners from Tank Bigsby trade over Jaguars

It took some time for Bigsby to get going as many saw him as a massive mistake of a trade after his early season struggles as a returner. Then he rushed for over 100 yards in the second matchup against the New York Giants, and everyone's opinion quickly changed about him.

Barkley was missing that burst with his runs last season, but Bigsby had that in almost every carry he had. Last year, Bigsby averaged an impressive 5.9 yards per carry, showcasing his skills all year and beating out A.J. Dillon and Will Shipley for the backup job.

With new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion taking over the Eagles' offense, many wonder how Bigsby will be used, as former OC Kevin Patullo frustrated fans by underutilizing him. The big play potential is there for Bigsby, but he just needs to get more touches.

A lot can still change from this trade as the Jaguars have to see how Williams plays, but for the time being, the Eagles are the clear winners.
