There are still too many questions the Philadelphia Eagles need answered during the offseason, but one wasn't answered by general manager Howie Roseman.

Philly has multiple players who will be entering free agency without a contract, as one tries to decide whether he'll return or retire. Roseman was asked by reporters in the Eagles' end-of-year press conference whether future Hall of Fame right tackle Lane Johnson would retire or not.

"I think all those conversations that we have with our players are between us and anything they're doing," Roseman said via The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane. "I'm not saying that negatively or positively, but anyone you ask about, I think that's their business to discuss. Obviously, you're talking about a Hall of Fame player who’s been a huge, huge part of any of our success that we've had, and when you watch him play, he's still playing at an elite level."

Lane Johnson's decision won't be known yet

The question about Johnson's decision on retirement is a fair one, as Eagles fans haven't seen him on the field since the Detroit Lions game in November, when he injured his foot. Since then, there have been weeks of speculation about whether he would play, and he was eventually ruled out.

Johnson completed his 13th season in the NFL as put together quote the resume with the Eagles. He has been selected to six Pro Bowls and five All-Pro teams.

Before his injury against the Lions, Johnson was having an incredible season and was well on his way to another Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection. In 10 games and 262 pass blocking snaps, Johnson surrendered zero quarterback hits and zero sacks in that span.

It will be the lingering question surrounding the Eagles during the offseason: whether they have their top offensive lineman back or if Johnson will be ready to hang up the cleats for good. That question won't be answered for the time being.
