Well, Philadelphia Eagles fans won't see right tackle Lane Johnson on the field for Week 15 against the Las Vegas Raiders, but he won't be gone for too much longer.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport has confirmed that Johnson is expected to practice this week after suffering his Lisfranc sprain in his foot in the Detroit Lions game last month. Johnson's timeline was originally about four weeks, with the hope that he might be able to return for the Raiders game, but he will now have his sights set on the Week 16 showdown against the Washington Commanders.

What a season it has been for Johnson so far, as he has allowed just seven pressures, zero quarterback hits, and zero sacks in 262 pass blocking snaps. Pro Football Focus has him ranked as the 19th-best tackle among 81 qualified players, grading 77.4 overall.

Johnson will be coming back at the perfect time for Eagles

This was a much-needed rest time for Johnson, as he has had injury problems all season for the Eagles. He has left several games injured, including against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Rams, the Denver Broncos, and the Lions.

While the rest was needed, not having Johnson in the lineup really hurt what is already a rough-looking Eagles offensive line. The team has been 0-3 in his absence, with the offense not scoring more than 21 points in a game since the injury.

Johnson is the catalyst that helps the offense succeed, as even if everything else breaks down, he holds strong at his position and doesn't get quarterback Jalen Hurts in trouble. With Tyler Steen at right guard, Johnson has been able to mask some of the issues the young guard has dealt with in his first season as a full-time starter.

Maybe having the future Hall of Famer back in the lineup will help give the Eagles the spark they desperately need.
