Sunday's Week 2 game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs was viewed as a Super Bowl rematch, and just like Super Bowl 59, the Eagles were victorious. Philadelphia’s win wasn’t as dominant this time, squeaking by 20-17, but it’s another tally in the win column nonetheless. In the end, that’s all that matters.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts made sure to remind the Chiefs of that near the end of the game. With Philadelphia lined up in victory formation, ready to kneel out the clock, Kansas City’s Chris Jones decided to talk trash to Hurts. With the field mics catching the exchange, the Pro Bowl defensive tackle told the quarterback, “you don’t even have 100 yards.” Hurts quickly responded by saying the Eagles won the game, and telling Jones to shut up — with a couple of expletives sprinkled in.

Jones is pretty outspoken, but it was a bit odd that he decided to talk some trash while his team’s defeat was being sealed. Hurts did only have 101 passing yards after completing 15 of his 22 pass attempts, but that was enough for the Eagles to win the game. In sports, the scoreboard typically allows you to say whatever you want to your opponent, and in this instance, Hurts told his opponent to shut up.

Now, the Eagles move to 2-0, and will turn their attention to their Week 3 opponent: the Los Angeles Rams, who are also 2-0. As for, the Chiefs, they are winless through the first two games of the season. Beyond the results, Kansas City hasn’t looked all that good through two weeks, so Chris Jones and company has much more to worry about than how many passing yards Jalen Hurts has.
