What a day to win the division. At the time of this being written, kickoff just occurred a couple of minutes ago. If we sound confident that the Philadelphia Eagles are going to beat the Washington Commanders and clinch the NFC East, we're happy. That was the intention in saying what we did.
Philly is visiting that creepy stadium formerly known as FedEx Field. These days, it's name is Northwest Stadium. None of that matters. It's the same rickety dump it always has been.
The fireworks began before the coin toss. No, it didn't have anything to do with words that were exchanged or some pushing and shoving at midfield. Instead, we zoomed in on Jalen Hurts' cleats.
Jalen Hurts thumbs his nose at the NFL's uniform and equipment policy. Those are our words, not his.
We will gladly take our moment to be petty here. One of the intriguing stories of the week came with the NFL showing Jalen Hurts some love because of his mismatched cleats. Apparently, his kicks hadn't been delivered by Jordan yet.
Then, things got weird. The NFL fined QB1 for violating the uniform and equipment policy and deleted said tweet...
Yeah... We know, right?
Jordan Brand reportedly paid the fine for him, but here's the best part. Jalen rocked the mismatched look on Sunday.
That's how you do it Jalen. Damn those fines! ... Those are our words not his.
Again, the beauty of this job is we can take moments to be petty even if the players take the high road. By the way... Brian Robinson fumbled on his first touch after saying the Commanders were a better team than the Eagles this week. Oh you better believe we're going to let him hear about it!
