NFL players have at times been blindsided by fines. It's never fun when it happens. Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jalyx Hunt is now a member of the club.

During Super Bowl LIX, Hunt was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against the Kansas City Chiefs. His bow-and-arrow gesture after sacking Patrick Mahomes came with a tremendous consequence.

He was fined $5,690 for making the gesture. Winning cures all however, including unexpected expenses. Jalyx and one famous Eagles fan didn't let it ruin Philly's victory or diminish his moment.

Rob McElhenney offers to pay Jalyx Hunt's fine.

Philadelphia native and actor Rob McElhenney of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia fame must have felt great after the Birds' title win. He took responsibility for paying Hunt's fine, reaching out on social media and offering to shoulder the cost.

Hunt responded to McElhenney. In true Brotherly Love fashion, Hunt stated he would pay the fine, but asked that McElhenney's money instead go to a local charity. The organization, Barbers Who Care, helps Boys' Latin of Philadelphia High School students go on college tours to promote continued education.

As you can see, McElhenney did just that, sending $5,690 to Barbers Who Care. While most of the celebrations will end at the start of the offseason, we all hope Hunt and McElhenney's kindness will start a trend.

Hunt finished Super Bowl LIX with two tackles and 0.5 sacks. That gives him 31 tackles and three sacks. six quarterback hits, two forced fumbles, and a pass breakup (those numbers include four postseason games). He has become an integral part of Philadelphia's defense constructed by Howie Roseman. Fans should be excited for this future — on and off the field.
