Jihaad Campbell scores bonus points with humble yet confident message

That didn't take long. Jihaad Campbell has won us over already.

We've seen enough! This Jihaad Campbell acquisition is a home run. Credit the Philadelphia Eagles organization and Howie Roseman for knocking another one out of the park. Are we jumping the gun? Maybe... Are we confident? Certainly... He hasn't played a snap yet, and we're buying as much stock as we can get our fingers on. There's just something about this guy.

Truth be told, we didn't watch as much of the Alabama Crimson Tide as we had done in season's prior. We'll get around to that soon. That's a given.

Still, there's a quiet confidence about this young man that feels infectious. Maybe that's where these feelings are coming from.

Jihaad Campbell exudes a quiet confidence and offers his first one-liner.

Campbell arrived at the NovaCare Complex less than 24 hours after Philly's leadership scribbled his name on a draft card. Philly's social media team caught a few clips of him being greeted by Bobby King, Ronell Williams, and Jereniah Washburn.

The introductory presser followed. He spent about 11 minutes with select media members. Less than three minutes in, he answered a question we've been asking without even realizing that's what he was doing.

What will his role be in Vic Fangio's offense? Will he spend more time as an edge rusher or an off-ball linebacker? You've probably heard a few people ask that question, right?

Let these next 18 seconds sink in.

Are we crazy, or is there something special here? Are we the only ones who see it. Remember when people used to say "he just has 'IT'"? Each answer feels thought out. Words feel like well placed jabs. He's a few memorable quotes of catching our guy Jalen Hurts, but we're off to a good start.

"I like being a football player. I like being an absolute baller." That kind of says it all, right?

Rumors of lingering shoulder issues be damned. He seems ready, and dare we say it? He reminds us of Haason Reddick before... Well... You know...

Still, even in drawing comparisons, this feels different. Campbell is an Erial, New Jersey native. He has come home to play professionally, and we have no reservations about saying this in April. He's going to be good for a long time and make a lot of plays. This pick has a Micah Parsons and Will Anderson feel.
