Each Philadelphia Eagles training camp, emerging talent surfaces on rosters leaguewide.
And for the Philadelphia Eagles, a pair of second-year players have definitely drawn the attention of standout defensive lineman Jordan Davis, who dished on a pair of fast-rising teammates - one on each side of the ball - to SportsRadio 94 WIP.

"Drew Kendall has really improved, and I tell him every practice, and I tell him every day, I'm like, 'man, you're really shaping up to be a great player," Davis said.
Following a quiet rookie season, the time for Kendall to step up is now, and he's been drawing rave reviews. His ability to perform as the potential top backup at both center and guard is critical from a depth standpoint, and he's attacked the opportunity with fervor since training camp kicked off.
With starters Cam Jurgens and Landon Dickerson both looking to put significant injury concerns to bed, Kendall must be on call at all times for this Eagles offensive line, and his much-improved play in year 2 has been making waves.
Meanwhile, Davis also pointed out the impressive training camp performance of a fellow Georgia Bulldog, in assessing who's stepping up in the dog days of summer:
"I would say on our side of the ball, Smael Mondon, and not to be Georgia biased or anything, but the plays that he's making and the way that he's moving, it feels like he's an old wily vet," Jordan said. "And you know, that could be a testament to the great education of Georgia football, talk to him about it, just a quick little drop." Jordan quipped before continuing. "I think that the longer we're in the scheme, and you know, thankful for Vic (Fangio), to be coaching us for the third year, it's easier for us to make plays, and it's easier for us to kind of reciprocate the playbook that we've been learning for the last three years."
Mondon, along with Davis and his teammates, is now thriving at another camp under the guidance of Fangio. And for the former Georgia linebacker, similar to Kendall's case, Year 2 in the league has gotten off to a rousing start.
Along with Jeremiah Trotter Jr., Mondon helps provide this linebacker group with the strongest positional depth the organization has had in years, with his ability to make plays from sideline-to-sideline standing out throughout camp.

It's clear that both Kendall and Mondon have arrived ready to rock. Quiet rookie seasons from the pair have given way to more confident, more alert, and more pronounced stages in their development. Davis sees it every day on the practice field, and this duo appears on the cusp of making an impact for this franchise.
