All the conversation this offseason has been surrounding how great Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter was one of the best linemen in the NFL. The league forgot about the guy who joined the league a year before he did.
Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis had quite the makeover during the offseason as he lost 26 pounds and got lighter, quicker, and increased his endurance. Nobody knew the kind of impact that would have until the 2025 campaign began.
Through the first two games of the season, Davis had 11 tackles, one tackle for loss, and three pass deflections. He stepped up in the Eagles' 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys after Carter was ejected from the game.
Leading up to the Los Angeles Rams game, not as many people outside of Philly were talking about Davis' performance. That is about to change.
Davis had the game of his life against the Rams
During the game, Davis made several great plays to help the team. He got a sack on Matthew Stafford in the contest. He also had a critical stop on third and two to force a Rams field goal in the third quarter.
Davis was especially special in the fourth quarter as he made a stop on a Rams run in the fourth quarter on fourth down. He assisted Carter on a field goal block in the game as well. Of course, it was topped off by Davis getting credit for a field goal block and return for a touchdown in the final seconds to seal the incredible 33-26 win over the Rams.
His final stats include five tackles, one tackle for loss, one quarterback hit, one sack, one field goal block, and one touchdown. It would be an understatement to say this was the best game of his career.
Carter has been dealing with a shoulder injury, so Davis has been carrying more of the weight of helping on the defensive line. That weight loss really paid off for Davis, as it has made him a more effective weapon in pass-rushing and run-stopping situations.

Eagles fans have to be pleased to see Davis finally break out the way he has. He is making a strong argument to not only be a Pro Bowler, but also an All-Pro selection.
