Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is taking a ton of heat for his performance in the team's 24-15 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Hurts finished the game completing 19 of 34 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns, with two turnovers in the loss. A lot of what was criticized was his accuracy and his missed opportunities to hit multiple open receivers, including DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert, for easy scores.
NFL analyst Kurt Warner was not having it when Chase Senior went on social media to share clips of Hurts missing these receivers. Warner defended Hurts' play by mentioning that there is more to it than meets the eye.
"Please don’t… Jalen went to exactly the right place and really the only place he can go in their O vs B0… they just miscommunicated on the route, but JH did everything else right!"

Does Hurts deserve criticism for his play vs. Bears?
Everyone can agree that it was not a good game by Hurts. It was arguably his worst performance of the season.
Some can put the blame on some of the pressure the Bears put on, or that it was windy outside, but Hurts missed on more throws than fans have been accustomed to seeing. There were moments when he panicked too soon and would just run out of the pocket when he could have sat in there and made his throw.
This is the trend for Hurts overall in the last four games. He has not eclipsed 70% completion percentage in any of the last four contests and has thrown just four touchdowns to one interception in that same timeframe.
November was a bad month for Hurts as he lost the one trait that made him so great at the beginning of the season: accuracy. He's still protecting the football well despite his two turnovers in the Bears game, but something is missing in his game.

There is work to be done to get Hurts' confidence back, as the Eagles have a lot to do on the long week with the Los Angeles Chargers next on the calendar on Monday Night Football.
