Anyone else have Jared Verse fatigue, yet? No, not really? Perfect, because this story isn't going away anytime soon, and the Philadelphia Eagles locker room isn't about to let it die.

Not yet, at least. This is way too fun.

For those who might be catching up, let's get one thing straight: Los Angeles Rams defensive end Jared Verse absolutely hates Eagles fans. He made that much very clear prior to the game on Sunday afternoon:

β€œI hate Eagles fans. They’re so annoying. I hate Eagles fans," Verse told the LA Times a couple of days before kickoff.

To expound on his feelings, Verse even went on to make it more personal going beyond just the fan base and accounting for his hate toward the Eagles organization itself.

"When I see that green and white, I hate it. I actually get upset. I actually genuinely get hot," he said.

Well, well, well ... who got the last laugh on Sunday, Mr. Verse?

The Eagles were able to walk off their home field victorious, sending Verse and the Rams packing. Los Angeles' season was over, while the Eagles and their fans were busy singing their song en route to the NFC Championship Game.

Speaking of that song, Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson used the chant to his advantage on social media after the game.

Johnson took to social media to let the world know his favorite "verse" indeed comes from the Eagles' fight song.

More Eagles news:

It was the low-hanging fruit. But, it had to be done. And Johnson did it.

Verse may have had an impressive season and definitely made an impact on this Divisional Round contest, but in the end, it was the Eagles' young defensive lineman who got the last laugh.

Yes, Jalen Carter was the brightest of the young defensive linemen in this one. The former Georgia Bulldog standout proved why he is one of the most talented defensive tackles in the game, ending this contest single-handedly.

On back-to-back downs, third and fourth down specifically for the Rams, Carter burst through the line of scrimmage to get in the face of Matthew Stafford. Third down saw Carter bring him down for a sack, while fourth down ended in an incompletion because of the pressure from Carter.

And, after the game, Carter revealed to the media what he told Verse before kickoff. It was simple, yet held truth.

Verse is undoubtedly a talented player and will be a force for the Rams for years to come. This rivalry is only beginning.

Although, the Rams will have to wait for any potential on reigniting the flame. Philly is busy moving on to the championship round.
