If things just couldn't get any worse for the Philadelphia Eagles, it might be after the latest update on starting right tackle Lane Johnson.
The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane reported before the latest injury report came out that Johnson appears to need more time, as he will be out another week with his foot injury. Johnson has missed the last three games and was in line to potentially return in Week 15 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Sounding like Lane Johnson (foot) will need another week before retuning to the #Eagles lineup. Sunday’s opponent also doesn’t make his return imperative.

Eagles have lost 3 straight with Johnson out. They’ve gone 14-27 when the future HOF tackle has not played in his career.
If Lane Johnson is not able to go, Fred Johnson will be stepping in as the right tackle for the fourth straight game. Philly is 0-3 without Lane Johnson in the starting lineup this season.
Eagles desperately need Lane Johnson back sometime soon
Some Eagles fans are going to look at the 2-11 Raiders and think that their team is going to be okay without Johnson in there at right tackle. Let's just remember who is on the other side, who can be a total disruptor of this game: Maxx Crosby.
This season, Johnson has been so dominant at right tackle despite the multiple lower-leg injuries he has suffered throughout the season. He had left multiple games early, including those of the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos, and Detroit Lions, citing some injury.
Even with those injuries, Johnson has proven to be one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL this season. According to Pro Football Focus, he is graded as the 18th-best offensive tackle among 82 in the NFL, with an overall grade of 77.4. This season, he has had three penalties called on him, allowed seven quarterback pressures, zero quarterback hits, and zero sacks.
Even with the team being 0-3 this season without Johnson, the overall record with or without him is staggering. Philly is 120-62-1 all time when Johnson is in the lineup and 15-27 when he doesn't play.

This season has been shockingly clear how good this team is with Johnson and how inefficient the offense is without him. Eagles fans are just praying he doesn't consider retiring just yet.
