Philadelphia Eagles fans have been waiting a long time for an injury report showing starting right tackle Lane Johnson practicing on the field.
They finally got that in the first injury report before their NFC Wild Card matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Johnson was listed as limited with the foot injury, which is the first time since before the Detroit Lions game in November that he has officially practiced.
Tight end Grant Calcaterra (ankle) and backup offensive lineman Brett Toth (concussion) were the only players who did not practice for the Eagles. Calcaterra and Toth both got knocked out of the Week 18 loss to the Washington Commanders.
Here is how the full of the injury report came out for the Eagles:
- Grant Calcaterra TE (Ankle, DNP)
- Brett Toth, OL (Concussion, DNP)
- Jalen Carter, DL (Hip, Limited)
- Nakobe Dean, LB (Hamstring, Limited)
- Marcus Epps, S (Concussion, Limited)
- Dallas Goedert, TE (Knee, Limited)
- Lane Johnson, OL (Foot, Limited)
- Azeez Ojulari, EDGE (Hamstring, Full)
- Jaelan Phillips, EDGE (Ankle, Full)
Eagles looking to be at full strength for 49ers game
This is as good an injury report as Eagles fans could have expected after a long season of key injuries popping up. Philly looks to be in line to have 21 of their 22 day one starters on the field for the San Francisco game, with safety Andrew Mukuba as the only guy out.
Besides the Johnson news, Dean, who has missed the last two games, looks to be back in line to play. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio already announced that he expects the linebacker to play against the 49ers.
Carter is looking good to be in line to play again after a season of dealing with shoulders and heel injuries throughout the year. The hip appears not to be keeping him out of the playoffs.
