As the Philadelphia Eagles took the field on Sunday afternoon to host the L.A. Rams in the NFC's Divisional Round, it started with a bang and a pair of incredible touchdowns.
Early in the first quarter, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts took off for a 44-yard touchdown scamper. It was the perfect way to kick off Philly's very first drive of the game. Any rust was apparently shaken off, there.
With just under a minute left in the first quarter, it was running back Saquon Barkley's turn. The MVP candidate raced for a 62-yard score, proving the Rams still cannot stop him.
Things were going well.
But later on? There was reason to worry.

With just over two minutes remaining in the third quarter, Hurts took a brutal hit as he was sacked while the Eagles were driving. His knee appeared to have bent awkwardly, which caused him to get up very slowly.
After Hurts was able to get up, he stayed in the game for a couple more plays until Philadelphia kicked a field goal to end the drive and go up 16-13.
But then, after the offense left the field, Hurts headed toward the medical tent for further evaluation.
Sideline reporter Melissa Stark gave fans an update on the live broadcast about five minutes after Hurts left the field.
"We saw him go down and grab his left knee. He limped to the sideline. He was immediately met by the head athletic trainer ... he went into the medical tent, where he remains now," Stark reported.
Right before the tail end of the third quarter, we received another update from the broadcast.
"After spending five minutes in the medical tent, Jalen Hurts came out ... he has a brace on that left knee. He jogged immediately onto the field. He started warming up, keeping it loose, threw a couple of passes. He is back in the game," Stark said.
On Hurts' very next drive, the Eagles had the ball dangerously close to their end zone. Hurts was immediately rushed back into said end zone and dropped for a safety. Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth commented on the obvious, noting Hurts was clearly in discomfort and could not move the same.
