There would be many NFL teams that would not agree with this comment, but playing in Philadelphia, while it is a hostile environment, is pretty special.
The Las Vegas Raiders got a taste of that when they got shut out by the Eagles 31-0 in front of nearly 70,000 fans in Lincoln Financial Field. Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby, though, seemed to have enjoyed playing in the City of Brotherly Love for the first time.
"Cities that really have like substance to them, like true fan bases and love for their city and the game and going to Philly, you can feel that energy when you go there. There was people everywhere down and we stayed downtown in the thick of it. You know how Philly is. They're rowdy, they're crazy. They didn't give a d**n about anything and we go pull up, we're driving to the stadium and I lowkey never do this, but I was driving into Philly and this is the first time I've ever played in Philly and that's why it took some pictures. But I was driving and there were trees and all white and just fans everywhere in the tailgate. You can just see the stadium behind and I would a couple of dope a** pictures because it was just, it was my first time playing there. If you love football, that's like you dream of as a kid like playing in Philadelphia in December in a grimy a** environment. It's exactly what you dream for so I loved it."
Crosby enjoyed his time in Philadelphia playing the Eagles
It's been a lovely week for the Eagles fans and the city of Philadelphia, getting some love for their passion for their sports team. The fans of Philly were named FanSided's Fandom of the Year for 2025.
Everyone talks about how negative Eagles fans can be about their team, regardless of whether the team wins or loses. That's the thing about the fans, they know football and will call out the Eagles no matter what the outcome is.

It's fantastic to hear an NFL player of Crosby's caliber give the city of Philadelphia such a high compliment, to the point of taking pictures of the stadium. That's something Eagles fans won't hear often, but it is special to play in a city.
