Mike Vrabel just said what Eagles' Jalen Hurts haters will loathe hearing

He's right, though.

In the NFL, it is difficult to find a franchise quarterback, so Philadelphia Eagles fans are grateful to have Jalen Hurts be that guy for them.

There have been a ton of criticisms thrown Hurts' way throughout the offseason and training camp. Many believe he has limitations and is unwilling to make changes to his game that make him uncomfortable.

All those narratives have been washed away throughout the last three weeks of training, and while it may not be perfect, Hurts is still playing well. He has been the catalyst for the team's success, and everyone knows it, including New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.

Mike Vrabel was honest about Jalen Hurts' impact on the Eagles over the years

Vrabel was the first person to talk for the Eagles-Patriots joint practice. He was asked why the Eagles have sustained success over the years. Vrabel made it clear that there are multiple reasons for that, including the guy at quarterback.

"Well, sustained success in the National Football League is tough," Vrabel said via SportsRadio 94 WIP's Eliot Shorr-Parks. "It's difficult. You know that the system's not set up for that. And I think they've drafted well, they've retained their players, and they found a quarterback that they want to, you know, a franchise quarterback. And I think that that's, that's a good place to start. And, you know, when you can draft well, and you can develop players and get them re-signed and then find a quarterback that leads your football team, that's a good place to start."

Hurts has the resume to back up the Eagles' success over the years. He has made three Pro Bowls, played in two Super Bowls, won one Super Bowl, won Super Bowl MVP, and won nearly 70% of his regular-season starts.

Most quarterbacks don't even come close to having that kind of resume in a 10-15 year career. For people who hate Hurts, though, that won't matter because he isn't the reason they win games. The players and coaches around him make him look good...apparently.

It isn't because Hurts has a great deep ball and is athletic in the pocket. He can't get credit for having those great traits.

For those crowds that want to say that Vrabel had to say that, no, he didn't. He wasn't asked about Hurts, as he just brought up the Eagles quarterback on his own. That shows the respect Hurts has in the NFL community that people don't want to believe.

How great is it for Eagles fans to have an opposing coach give the kind of praise to Hurts that he deserves? Now Hurts really has a chance to show the Patriots what he is made of.
