New York sports host blatantly disrespected Jalen Hurts (with a cold hard truth)

He's out of line, but he's absolutely right.

It appears that some members of the New York sports media is already have delusions of their Giants team and their quarterback Jaxson Dart after one good game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The New York sports world has been on Cloud Nine since the Giants beat the Eagles 34-17 in Week 6, so much so that they are starting to have some really bad takes. Ahead of the Giants' Week 7 matchup with the Denver Broncos, WFAN's Shaun Morash made a wild claim to his co-host, Evan Roberts, that is a slap in the face of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.

"Teams have played very much scared, and I would dare to say outside of Justin Herbert, Jaxson Dart is the best quarterback that this team (Broncos) has seen so far this year."

After Morash and Roberts bickered back and forth for over a minute about Indianapolis Colts QB Daniel Jones being better (or not better) than Dart, Morash seemed to concede at least that Hurts is the better quarterback, but hit Eagles fans in the heart with the point they can't argue against.

"Jalen Hurts went into that game and they made a huge effort to try to get A.J. Brown not to be pissy anymore and DeVonta Smith and they stopped running with it. They didn't give Saquon basically any carries in the second half. That is why those numbers are like that."

Eagles fans being reminded of what's truly wrong with their team

There are zero scenarios where a Super Bowl MVP in Hurts is worse than Dart, who has started three games and lost to the New Orleans Saints. Dart might have had his way against a banged-up Eagles defense, but not everything can be put on Hurts' shoulders for the offense's struggles over the last two games.

To be clear, Hurts does deserve some blame, as he has missed wide-open Brown and Smith down the field for a potential touchdown in two straight games, which could have flipped those games on their heads. It hasn't been perfect for Hurts in these games.

A lot of the blame has to fall on Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo's play-calling. Patullo has constantly moved away from running the football with Barkley, electing to throw it more, move away from their true identity, and lose those games.

It now all falls on Hurts and Patullo to get it right against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7 to get things right, but Eagles fans shouldn't get hung up on what delusional New York media members are saying about the quarterbacks. The offense, though, they have a point.
