For Philadelphia Eagles fans watching the first batch of games in the NFC Wild Card round, there was plenty of crazy action to set up what could be an even crazier Divisional Round.
In the first game, the Los Angeles Rams found themselves in a street fight with the Carolina Panthers, but got the job done with a 34-31 win. As for the second game, the Chicago Bears came back from 18 points down in the second half to stun the Green Bay Packers 31-27.
After digesting what an insane first day of NFL playoff football was, there is a little more clarity on what the NFC Divisional Round could look like. What does it mean for the Eagles if they are able to beat the San Francisco 49ers in Lincoln Financial Field?

The Rams still don't know whether they will travel to the number one seed, the Seattle Seahawks, or the number two seed, the Bears. Regardless, though, they will be on the road and have to win three straight road games to make the Super Bowl.
For the Eagles, Chicago's win over the Packers shut down any shot of the Birds getting a home game in the Divisional Round. That leaves them with only one option: if they beat the 49ers at home in the Wild Card, they have to go to Soldier Field to play the Bears.
The last time the Eagles played the Bears, it did not go well as the two teams faced off on Black Friday. Chicago dominated that game as the Bears picked up a 24-15 win over the Eagles in the Linc.
At this point, the only way the Eagles host a home game again after the Wild Card game is if the Rams can beat the Seahawks in the Divisional Round. Otherwise, the NFC Wild Card game against the 49ers will be the last of the season.
