Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is a polarizing name despite the fact that he doesn't bring it on himself.
Hurts has been the center of many conversations over the last month, from reports that he's not coachable to NFL analysts like Troy Aikman defending him. ESPN NFL analyst Bart Scott was the latest to speak on Hurts on the network's Get Up show, as he gave his thoughts on Aikman's comments and how he feels about Hurts.
"I'm somewhere in the middle," Scott said. "I think he is a top-15 quarterback, and I think sometimes he moves up that board and down that board. It's important for them to figure out what he does well, but he has to evolve as well."
Bart Scott doesn't believe Jalen Hurts is a top 10 QB in the NFL
It's kind of rare to see someone be so in the middle on Hurts, as people either really like him or don't like his play at all. Scott appears to believe Hurts is inconsistent and will need to adapt to the new Eagles offensive coordinator, Sean Mannion's, scheme if he wants to improve.
Mannion and Hurts have reportedly hit it off right away, and the franchise quarterback appears to be all for everything his new coach is doing, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. That is a good sign that the Eagles have something brewing there in Philly between the OC and QB.
There's still a lot that needs to happen as minicamp hasn't even started for the veterans, but the Eagles' offense is trending in the right direction. The hope is that Hurts can prove everyone wrong and show why he was a three-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl MVP.

Scott is not completely wrong about what he said about Hurts' inconsistency, but he deserves a little more respect than barely being top 15. Hurts has shown he can do it all at the highest level, and he'll do it again in 2026.
