The Philadelphia Eagles are riding high after their 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys last week, as they now have to face their Super Bowl opponents from last year, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Everyone in Philadelphia will remember what happened the last time these two teams played. It was total domination at all three phases of the game as the Eagles got off to a 40-6 lead in the fourth quarter after three Patrick Mahomes interceptions. Despite the Chiefs getting two late touchdowns, the Eagles prevailed to capture their second Super Bowl in franchise history with a 40-22 win.

The stakes are a bit different this time around as the Eagles travel to Arrowhead Stadium for their first road game of the season. Kansas City is coming off a disappointing loss to the Los Angeles Chargers from Brazil.

It appears the Eagles are good enough and have the momentum to the point that many in the media don't have a ton of belief in the Chiefs.

One NFL writer boldly predicts an easy Eagles win

FanSided's Lou Scataglia shared his bold predictions for Week 2 of the NFL season as he has the Eagles beating the Chiefs. Scataglia thinks that it's going to be a brutal 0-2 start for Kansas City.

"It's hard for me to envision the Kansas City Chiefs winning this game, which is insane to think, but the Chiefs are simply missing key roster talent on either side of the ball and just cannot hang with teams like the Eagles that just ooze talent. Yes, this game is in Kansas City, but the Eagles are going to runaway with this one in the second half and send the Chiefs to a shaky 0-2 start."

The betting lines are close as the Eagles have a -1.5 advantage over the Chiefs going into the game. That line has gone back and forth since the start of the week, so that could turn on a time.

Philly has won the last two matchups against the Chiefs, with one of them being from Arrowhead Stadium back in 2023. The Chiefs won the previous four matchups, dating back to 2013.

Kansas City is banged up going into the game, and the Eagles will have defensive tackle Jalen Carter back after being ejected from the Cowboys game last week for spitting at Dak Prescott. The Eagles should be favored in the game, but there's no telling what the end results are going to be in this matchup.
