The Philadelphia Eagles may be slowing down their pass rush against Jordan Love in Week 10, despite what fans may be asking for.
Philly's defense, which has just acquired Jaelen Phillips, may keep it relatively basic against Green Bay when it comes to their exotic blitz packages, as led by defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. ESPN's Aaron Schatz explains why the blitz will slow down for Fangio and his defensive unit.
"Philadelphia will resist the urge to blitz Packers QB Jordan Love. He has an 89.5 QBR against the blitz this season, third in the NFL behind the Patriots' Drake Maye and Ravens' Lamar Jackson. The Eagles have blitzed on just 24% of pass plays this season, 20th in the NFL."
Eagles will be leaning more on their edge rushers over the blitz to provide QB pressures
Love's ability to succeed under pressure may take a hit this weekend, as his "safety net," tight end Tucker Kraft, tore his ACL against the Carolina Panthers. Kraft was putting together a Pro Bowl-type season, totaling 32 receptions for 489 yards and six touchdowns (which ranks second, first, and first among Packers skill players). It's also worth noting that Love, in his third year as a starter, has improved with his pre-snap recognition as well.
While the Eagles may not bring as much pressure as expected, the addition of Phillips, along with the return of Brandon Graham, does give Philadelphia an upgrade. Jalyx Hunt and Josh Uche have only recorded one sack each, with the majority of the team's pass-rushing success coming from Moro Ojomo, who's done a great job replacing Milton Williams, who is now with the New England Patriots.
The Eagles also have Nolan Smith Jr., who should be at full strength, along with Jihaad Campbell, who has also seen an increased workload as an edge rusher. While Philadelphia may hold off on bringing an extra rusher, they certainly have all the pieces to keep Love preoccupied, bringing four.

Philly has totaled 16.0 sacks this year, with 3.5 sacks coming from non-defensive linemen/edge rushers. Last season, the Eagles totaled 41.0 sacks; however, they are without Bryce Huff, Josh Sweat, and Milton Williams.
