Brad Allen... That's his name. He's the crew chief in the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers game. Remember that just in case we must mention him later. We've always believed it was bush league to blame referees for losses, but let's be honest. Officiating in the NFL this season has been horrific.

Every team wants to get off to a thunderous start during a postseason game. Philly did that and then some. Then, the refs tried to rob them.

Welcome to the NFL Playoffs. Welcome to the City of Brotherly Love where outsiders don't like us, and... You know the rest.

Packers will complain about being 'robbed', but it was evident whose side the officials were on early.

Picture it... Keisean Nixon takes the opening kickoff, returns it to the Packers 28-yard line, and gets popped by Oren Burks. There's a fumble. Philly recovers.

The officials ask for a time out to see if there was a 'clear recovery'. Wait! What the heck for?

Here we go! The screw job begins, but after further review, the refs stayed with the call on the field. Crisis averted.

Call it what you want. Call us conspiracy theorists. That's fine, but if you've been watching how the Birds games have been officiated all season, you'd understand why we'd believe something foul is afoot.

But, back to that 'thunderous start'. Three plays after the fumble, Jalen Hurts found Jahan Dotson for an early Eagles touchdown. Dotson didn't catch a TD pass during the regular season but does so here.

Again, you couldn't ask for a better start, but keep both eyes on those officials. They appear to be up to something.
