The best defender of an era gives Eagles star Jalen Carter his seal of approval

Who better to discuss Jalen Carter's potential than the best defensive tackle of his era. You're going to want to hear what Aaron Donald said about Jalen Carter.

What can we say about Jalen Carter that we haven't already? We're running out of superlatives, and if we're to do him justice we might have to begin making up words. How many times can we call him a game-wrecker or one of the best defenders in the game without being redundant?

So, there we were recently, pondering this same question. Then, we remembered... It's almost time for FS1's The Facility to begin. We enjoy tuning in to see what two former Birds, Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy have to say.

No... That isn't true... We more so tune in to listen to Shady, but that's another story for another day.

Anyway, back to our point... We tuned into an episode of The Facility, and they were discussing Jalen Carter. We couldn't help but stop what we were doing to see what they said.

Aaron Donald anoints Eagles star Jalen Carter as his heir apparent.

Every player who makes it to the NFL should be proud. They have already defied the odds, but then there are the legends. They're the future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees. They push standards to higher levels and redefine eras.

Aaron Donald is one such player. His Los Angeles Rams faced the Birds during the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. He and Shady are good friends. They spoke during the festivities. What follows was part of the result.

Short, concise, and to the point. You may have heard this a time or two, but Donald knew a thing or two about playing the defensive tackle position. Who better to name someone as his heir apparent than the man himself?

This isn't a fluke we're seeing. Carter may have prevented the Eagles from losing to the Rams in the Divisional Round. The Facility's Chase Daniel is convinced that he also saved some jobs.

Carter's stat line this season has been otherworldly. During the regular season, he racked up 42 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 16 additional QB hits, two forced fumbles, and six pass breakups. We won't even attempt to count how many pressures he tallied.

During the postseason, he's added another seven tackles, two sacks, three pass breakups, and a forced fumble. We are witnessing a star's rise and get to do so sitting in the front seat. The best part is this. Jalen Carter has the potential to be even better.
