Per Jeffrey Lurie, a new Eagles stadium may include an exciting new feature

It sounds like the Eagles Chairman and CEO believes he can bring other exciting events to the City of Brotherly Love if his team's new stadium adds one wrinkle in its construction.

You've probably already learned during your love affair with the Philadelphia Eagles that football is big business. We love the game but also realize it is a money machine. There's nothing we deem to be entertaining that carries a similar business model. Just look at the game's reach.

CSI and NCIS are CBS products. Grey's Anatomy airs on ABC. American Idol is a FOX product. The NFL is the only product that airs on ESPN/ABC. NBC, CBS, and FOX.

Say what you want about Roger Goodell. No other professional sport has a better commissioner. Birds fans are even more fortunate. Their team is home to the best owner and general manager in the game.

Jeffrey Lurie may be considering the idea of placing a roof on the next Eagles stadium he builds.

Yeah.. We could have won more Super Bowls, but let's be honest. Life hasn't been too shabby as an Eagles fan.

The Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings, and Tennessee Titans have never qualified for a Super Bowl and won. The L.A. Chargers, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans. Jacksonville Jaguars and Detroit Lions have never even been in the big game.

Trust us. You can do a lot worse than being an Eagles fan.

Jeffrey Lurie has led us to one of the longest sustained periods of success. Philly's first Vince Lombardi Trophy was won on February 4th, 2018.

These days, Lurie has his sights sets on hosting the big game. The NFL is all about presentation though. They don't want to risk bad weather for a Super Bowl, so you better make sure your team plays in a warm-weather city or a dome.

That kind of rules Philly out... Unless...

We've heard rumors of a new Eagles stadium. Philly's brass wouldn't consider adding a roof, would they? Here's what Mr. Lurie had to say on the subject during opening night of Super Bowl LIX Week.

While there's nothing concrete there, we'd advise you keep watch. We've already made mention of Jeffrey's business savvy. Can you imagine? An indoor Final Four played in the City of Brotherly Love in a stadium that seats more than 70,000?

There's also the retractable roof idea if the Birds wanted to enjoy the nice weather. We'll wait and see on that front. but at least we know the conversations are occurring.
