While Philadelphia Eagles fans are, for once, enjoying some peace and quiet with good headlines about the coordinators making positive comments, their NFC East rival is having a bit of a rougher time.

The New York Giants have stayed busy in the news, but it doesn't seem to be anything good for their fan base. First, they gave general manager Joe Schoen a contract extension despite having infamously let the Eagles sign their former running back, Saquon Barkley, two offseasons ago.

Another storyline that has been growing is Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart introduced President Donald Trump, but it was what happened after that that has everyone's attention. Giants edge rusher Abdul Carter commented on social media on his thoughts.

"thought this s*** was AI, what we doing man"

Giants seem to be in turmoil even before the 2026 season begins

Starting with the Schoen news, this is just perfect news for the Eagles. Even though the Giants had a better offseason, much of that is attributed to new head coach John Harbaugh making the moves he wants. Harbaugh brought in guys who fit his culture, and while Schoen might still hold the GM role, Harbaugh is the main guy running the show.

As for the Dart-Carter situation, it's clear that there is some drama being poured out of the locker room and being shown to the general public. Giants fans cannot be happy to see a bit of division, but Eagles fans are not going to complain about it.

This has the makings of the Giants starting to crumble even before they take the field in a regular season game. Eagles fans can at least mark them off the list of teams to worry about in the division as they can shift to the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders.
