Philadelphia Eagles star cornerback Quinyon Mitchell received his second award of the 2025 season, with Bill Barnwell naming him to ESPN's All-Pro team this season.

Mitchell, who has already been called to his first Pro Bowl, is on pace to earn plenty of accolades from his sophomore season. He will also be in consideration for Defensive Player of the Year.

Quinyon Mitchell is having a season to remember for the Eagles

Vic Fangio and the Eagles put a lot of pressure on their cornerbacks in man coverage at the third-highest rate in the NFL. Mitchell has evolved into this generation's Darrelle Revis, essentially negating 50% of the field for the Eagles' defense. With Cooper DeJean playing opposite him (who also earned a Pro Bowl honor), the Eagles' defense has emerged as one of the NFL's elite units, with many metrics placing the tandem in the top five.

Mitchell, week in and week out, has consistently put together all-pro efforts, with analytics from NextGen Stats showing his targets against some of the NFL's elite wide receivers. Mitchell has allowed a completion percentage of 43.8%, which is only behind Derek Stingley Jr. and Donte Jackson. Barnwell also notes that Mitchell owns a 67.5% success rate in coverage, which is the highest rated grade among outside cornerbacks, along with being one of the highest rated tacklers in the NFL.

Mitchell has been a welcome addition to the Eagles' defense since joining the team in 2024 as a first-round pick. With the departure of Darius Slay, both Mitchell and DeJean have evolved into one of the NFL's most dangerous tandems at cornerback in 2025, spearheading the way for their playoff push.

With the 2025 season coming to a close for the Eagles starters who are not playing in Week 18, Mitchell finishes the season with 45 tackles and 17 pass breakups in his second season through 16 games. With Mitchell entering the third year of his rookie contract in 2026, the young Eagles cornerback has made himself plenty of money moving forward.
