There might not be many Philadelphia Eagles players who had a worse 2025 season than Jake Elliott did, but it certainly got worse, and he didn't even step on the field in the final game of the season.
Elliott had the second-worst season of his career as he converted just 74.1% of his field goals and missed seven field goals. He was in the bottom five in field goal percentage in the NFL.
The one good thing he had going for him was that he still held the Super Bowl record for field goals made in one game, but Super Bowl LX's Seattle Seahawks-New England Patriots game broke it easily. Seahawks kicker Jason Meyers broke that record by one kick as he made five field goals to help Seattle take down New England 29-13.
Jake Elliott saw his Super Bowl record disappear
It perfectly captures what has been a horrendous season for Elliott and really a bad run over the last two years as the Eagles' kicker. He has not missed 15 field goals in the last 34 regular season games, which is the most of his career.
The regression has been there for Elliott, but Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni have not acknowledged the problem over the years. No competition has ever been brought in, and he continues to put his foot to the ball without any pressure to lose his job.
That's a major problem for a guy who certainly feels like he's going through the motions of the job and not improving in the process. Something will have to change in the offseason with his kicking motion, or the Eagles will have to bring in someone else who can do the job more consistently.

This is an underrated part of the offseason for the Eagles, but it will be interesting if they do anything about Elliott and the kicker position.
