Every Philadelphia Eagles fan has been screaming for general manager Howie Roseman to make some kind of trade with the Las Vegas Raiders for edge rusher Maxx Crosby, but they might have an even better option to pick from.

ESPN reporter Field Yates reported that the Cleveland Browns and edge rusher Myles Garrett have agreed on restructured language in his contract. One thing they changed was the $29 million roster bonus, which was moved back to August 30.

Garrett is coming off a record-breaking season with 23 sacks on the year as he made the Pro Bowl, was selected as a first-team All-Pro, and won Defensive Player of the Year. He has been selected to seven Pro Bowls, five first-team All-Pros, two second-team All-Pros, and won Defensive Player of the Year twice in his nine-year NFL career.

Eagles would be crazy to not at least call the Browns about Myles Garrett

Roseman has reported calling the Browns in the past to try to make a trade for Garrett, as he was willing to give up multiple first-round picks to get him in an Eagles uniform. While that attempt failed, Roseman has a second chance at getting it done.

Garrett is a much better option for a trade than Crosby, as Garrett has only missed two games in the last four years, while Crosby has an injury to be concerned about. Also, Garrett is the best pass rusher in the NFL, so while both guys are great, Garrett is just slightly better as he beats out all the edge rushers in the league.

If Roseman has to cough up three first-round picks for a deal to get that, he must consider doing it. While those first-round picks are valuable, none of them will ever be at the level that Garrett is at, as he is a future first-ballot Hall of Famer.

The Eagles should be on the phone with Cleveland right now and stay on it until a deal can get done.
