The 2025 season certainly had its challenges, despite the Philadelphia Eagles going 11-6 and winning the NFC East, but the upcoming year might be even harder.

Philly lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Wild Card, which opened the door to so much more drama for the team to face, but how does that compare to other playoff-losing teams? CBS Sports' Bryan DeArdo ranked the Eagles fourth out of the 12 playoff losers for who has the best chance of getting to the Super Bowl in 2026, but added a fair warning about the regular season.

"Philadelphia went to the Super Bowl in 2022, had an off year in 2023, and then won its second Super Bowl in 2024. If history repeats itself, the Eagles should bounce back in 2026 after having a down 2025 season that ended with a home playoff loss to the 49ers.

While they have an impressive group of skill players and a defense that finished fifth in scoring in points allowed in 2025, the Eagles will have to have more harmony on offense next season if they are going to overcome a brutal schedule that includes seven teams that made the playoffs in 2025. The Eagles will also more than likely have to deal with a more competitive division."

Can the Eagles get to the Super Bowl in 2026?

Recent history shows the Eagles should be able to get there, as they have made it every other year since 2022. With that said, the 2026 schedule is going to be more brutal than the 2025 one.

Among the seven playoff teams the Eagles have to play in 2026, those include the Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks. Brutal might be an understatement for what they are about to face.

That doesn't even include the NFC East, which is guaranteed to be better in 2026 with the Washington Commanders healthier, the Dallas Cowboys still having a top-five offense, and the New York Giants having John Harbaugh as their head coach. This division is not going to be easy to play in.

The Eagles are not going to have an easy time in 2026, but the talent level on this roster will still be good. Even if they win 10 or 11 games again in 2026, that should be considered a success in the regular season.
