The wait is killing every Philadelphia Eagles fan to find out whether an A.J. Brown trade is actually going to happen or if he is going to be back in 2026.
More than likely, the Eagles are going to look at wide receivers in the 2026 NFL Draft to prep themselves for Brown to be traded after June 1. While appearing on SportsRadio 94 WIP, Eagles beat reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks suggested two names outside the draft the team could consider trading for as potential replacements for Brown.
"You look around the league at what young receivers are set to be paid and their team might not want to pay them. Well, the two names that come to mind for me are Brian Thomas Jr. from Jacksonville, who's already had some trade rumors and Marvin Harrison Jr. from Arizona. Now, I get the Cardinals from the outside looking in it's 'Why would they trade him?" Well, they're starting a rebuild, they don't have a quarterback, they have another receiver there that's kind of shown out of nowhere that he could be very good. And you got to decide if you're the Cardinals, are you paying Marvin Harrison Jr.? So, I would keep an eye on him."
Are those two options good ones for Eagles to consider trading for?
Thomas was a Pro Bowler in his rookie season in 2024 with 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns. Last season changed as he missed three games to injury, and his stats dipped to 707 yards and two touchdowns.
The same could be said about Harrison, as he got off to a good start to his career with 885 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024. Similar to Thomas, he missed time due to injury last year, as he didn't play in five games, going for only 608 yards and four touchdowns.
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman would have two good options in Thomas and Harrison to trade for, but the drop-off they had from Year 1 to Year 2 should cause some hesitancy from the team. If Roseman gets a good deal on them as a Day 2 pick, it might be worth it to make the deal and focus on other positions in the NFL Draft.

Of course, none of this matters until there is a clear plan for Brown and a clear answer on whether the Eagles will trade him. If they decide not to, there's nothing to worry about; if they do, Thomas and Harrison are definitely interesting options for them.
