Just before everyone went off to celebrate the new year, the Philadelphia Eagles held a walkthrough at practice before their Week 18 showdown with the Washington Commanders.

The Eagles released their injury report shortly after the walkthrough, with six players listed. Not practicing were linebacker Nakobe Dean (hamstring), tight end Dallas Goedert (knee), right tackle Lane Johnson (foot), and edge rusher Jaelan Phillips (ankle).

Two other names on there were either limited or full participants. Rookie linebacker Jihaad Campbell was limited with a back and shoulder injury, and rookie offensive lineman Cameron Williams was a full participant with a shoulder injury.

Eagles' first Week 18 injury report shows first indication on who will play or not

The big topic in Philly before the start of 2026 was that the Eagles decided to rest their starters for the Commanders game. That means there will be a limited number of players playing, including quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is expected to sit out.

This injury report shows that there is absolutely no indication that Johnson, Dean, or Phillips play. If Goedert wasn't injured, he might have been limited, but it is also looking like he's not going to step on the field.

The interesting question is whether Campbell will play, since Dean and Baun are most likely sitting out. Campbell has taken significant snaps at the starter position and would probably love to play, but his injury will be worth monitoring for the Eagles throughout the week.

Williams will be another one to keep a close eye on, as he has been on IR for most of the season with a shoulder injury, so the question is whether the Eagles will activate him and let him play. He could use the snaps, but the Eagles need to make sure they have roster space.

This is where Eagles general manager Howie Roseman's roster gymnastics will come into play, manipulating the roster to get the right players in. There is still a lot the Eagles need to get figured out before the Commanders game.
