Philly's mayor butchers the Eagles chant as NFL Playoff fever keeps spreading

We love Cherelle Parker, but there's no way we were letting this slide. We also need to give Landon Dickerson his flowers.

Playoff fever has long settled in, and we certainly have the sniffles. Two wins are in the books, and if the Philadelphia Eagles win two more times, they'll hoist their second Vince Lombardi Trophy.

That isn't earth-shattering news for anyone who self-identifies as a Birds fan. For real... Like, who doesn't know that, right? We just wanted you to know that we haven't been able to focus on much of anything else.

Birds fans are extremely loyal. They also come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. They run the gamut from celebrities who entertain us to role models and public officials (both real and fictional).

Quinta Brunson's Abbott Elementary is often loaded with references to the Birds. We've even seen our beloved QB1 make an appearance, but you're balling on another level when you reach the mayor's podium.

Philly mayor Cherelle Parker takes an 'L' while leading the Eagles chant.

During a Sunday afternoon press conference, Philly mayor Cherelle Parker tried to inspire us by leading an Eagles chant. How do we put this as nicely as possible? Let's just say things didn't go according to how she planned them.

Wait! What? 'E-L-G-L-E-S! Eagles!'?

We aren't going to knock her too badly for this one. Nothing but love this way, but come on. You have to admit that was funny. How about we chalk it up to the 'fever'? Everyone is excited, so excited we've all enjoyed the adrenaline rush in different ways.

Some release years of frustration by slapping themselves on the helmet during a breakaway 78-yard TD run. Others show their creativity on social media. Others still misspell Eagles while attempting to lead the chant.

Hey, what do you want from us? We're all in this together, and all forms of expression are welcome.
