10 Philadelphia Eagles with no room for error once training camp begins

  • Another training camp approaches.
  • Much of the Eagles 53-man roster is already set in stone.
  • There are no guarantees for the bubble players on the bottom half of the roster.

Marlon Tuipulotu, defensive tackle

The interior of the Eagles' defensive line is loaded. Consecutive drafts have seen the addition of Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter. Fletcher Cox is the elder statesman. Milton Williams returns for his third NFL season, and that makes you wonder about Marlon Tuipulotu who missed all but nine games last season as he battled injury and the numbers game. He needs a fantastic summer.

Kentavius Street, defensive lineman

Raise your hands if you forgot Kentavius Street was on the team. Yep, that's what we thought.

Added on March 30th by way of a one-year deal, Street has the tools to be a good NFL player, but he's probably in competition with Moro Ojomo, Noah Elliss, and the aforementioned Tuipulotu for roster consideration unless, of course, he can play defensive end and make the team as a hybrid IDL/EDGE guy.

Kyron Johnson, linebacker

We haven't given up on Kyron Johnson yet. We are, however, a little disappointed in him. He isn't going to start or win a ton of playing time unless there are a rash of injuries. That means his value must be shown on special teams, and frankly, we haven't seen much there either.

Christian Elliss has proven to be a significantly better player. If we had to give a roster spot to one or the other right now, that spot would go to Elliss.
