3 Philadelphia Eagles players that won't be back in 2024, one to keep tabs on
The Philadelphia Eagles' season has been over for a few days. Maybe it's just better if we don't talk about it. There isn't much to say about a 10-1 season that ended with a thud and a mark of 11-6.
With all the attention turned towards what looks to be an active offseason for Philly, it's worth taking a quick look at some possible evacuees. Here are 4 players who likely (and in some cases, definitely) won't be back with the team in 2024.
DeAndre Swift, running back
D'Andre Swift will be a free agent this offseason. What a year to hit the pool. He set career-highs in yards (1049), first downs (50), and rushing yards per game (65.6). He also had double the amount of broken tackles (18) of any season of his career.
Swift produced a career-best 1.7 yards after contact. That's what happens when you run behind the Eagles' offensive line.
He was a steal for Philly. At 24 years old, he appeared in a career-high 16 regular-season games for Philly and did so while only making $1.7 million (0.8% of the cap). That's exactly what we mean when we say 'steal'.
Swift has more than earned the right to get paid, it doesn't feel like Philly will be the place where that happens.
